In compiling information that might be helpfull I have taken advice from various places on the internet as well as 3 books. The first book, which is a great old book with a gold painted embossed graphic of the title and a big honeybee is ‘ABC and XYZ of Bee Culture – An Encylopedia Pertaining to Scientific and Practical Culture of Bees‘. This book is from the A.I Root Bee Library and is copyrighted 1944. This book is laid out like an encyclopedia. It is not a step by step how to book but more a book with alot of detailed information about specific words pertaining to beekeeping. It is a great resource.
The Second book is ‘Starting Right with Bees – A Beginners Handbook to Bees‘. It is the 18th edition copyrighted 1976. This is more like a ‘How to’ book. Basic and very helpful.
The third book is a very thick book called ‘The Hive and The Honeybee‘ from the fifth printing in 2000. This is a Dadent publication. It appears to have everything you would ever want to know about beekeeping and then some.
